US Sports Betting Delays:

Each state is taking a different approach to sports betting regulation. That has resulted in long wait times for bettors, as US sports betting delays can be up to a year or more between the passing of legislation and the launch of regulated bets.
Maine Sports Betting:
----------------------------------
Maine sports betting will be held up at least eight months, possibly longer, as the Gambling Control Unit says they may need more than year to get things in order. Potentially pushing any launch date all the way back to January of 2024. It was May 2nd when Governor Janet Mills signed the Maine sports betting law. Now three months later, the Gambling Control Unit, says that the residents will be able to make their first bets sometime “Between April 2023 to January 2024… just to be on the safe side of things.”
Sports Betting in Kansas:

Those hoping for the launch of Kansas sports betting in time for the kickoff of the NFL Season might be disappointed. While the state Gaming Commission is working on background checks on potential licensees, the Kansas Lottery has stated that a launch before football season is possible, but in no way certain. The Commission is also in charge of putting together regulations. And September 1st is the day that the Lottery is supposed to come up with an approve process for sportsbooks.
Massachusetts Sports Bets:

Massachusetts sports betting may not happen in time for this years NFL season as hoped. The state Gaming Commission has asked the public to temper expectations. A representative from the Commission stated that getting regulations in place takes time. And that even more importantly, to do so correctly will not “happen overnight”, adding that to get things done properly, the Commission will need to “take our time.”
