Doug hangs on to make the final table of the High Roller event in the World Championship of Online Poker. This isn't the first time he's done this. In 2014, he reached the final table of this very same event, but finished in a disappointing 8th place. Maybe at the World Series of Poker, some players proudly count their final tables and POY stats, but this is the internet, and it's very serious business.
In short order, Doug manages to best his previous record, outlasting enough players to bank some extra money and guarantee himself a higher finish than the last time. However, there is far more at stake than redemption. There's a pile of money at the top of this hill, and Doug puts himself in an excellent position to claim it, as he goes on a run and takes over the chiplead. What a rollercoaster!
