Let’s say you’re an American voter in the upcoming US election who wants legal online gambling. Who should you pick for the next President of the United States? There are lots of important reasons to get out and vote for president, and most of those have nothing to do with online gambling. But if the issue is important to you then watch this video.
While many people already know who they prefer between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, there are still some undecided voters out there. Some people are passionate about gambling issues. In 2019, the US Department of Justice (under the Trump Administration) "changed their opinion" on the 1961 Federal Wire Act. This law deals with conducting gambling on an interstate basis. Historically, it prohibits only interstate sports betting, but the DOJ’s new position is an attempt to extend it to all forms of online gambling. And let's not forget that one of Donald Trump’s biggest donors is Las Vegas Sands chairman Sheldon Adelson, who has campaigned relentlessly to criminalize online gambling in America.
